ECO-Culture holding shares its experience with future agrarians

The specialists from ECO-Culture agricultural holding are to become the ambassadors of Rosselkhozbank’s unique project, Shkola Fermerov (“School of Farmers”), and undertake the task of teaching the participants the basics, nuances, and practices of greenhouse business.

The project is expected to become a significant contribution to the development of the agro-industrial sector in Russia – now when the country is catastrophically lacking competent, trained, and knowledgeable agrarians. This program is to fill this gap – once the four runs of the School are finished, at least 1000 new specialists will join the Russian labor market, all armed with up-to-date knowledge and skills.

The “School of Farmers” will be operating in several regions of the country – in Stavropol Krai, the Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as Moscow and Novosibirsk Oblasts. The major players of the agricultural market, including ECO-Culture, will take part in the initiative.

The holding is known to be one of the first greenhouse producers in Russia to operate in a new format and scale. The first greenhouse complex was launched 10 years ago, and the company has been continuously evolving ever since, with progressive growth of quantitative and qualitative indicators. Today, the consumers in all regions of the country are familiar with the holding’s products. Now the leading specialists of ECO-Culture will share their experience in growing greenhouse vegetables and agribusiness development in Russia, at the same time helping the beginners to improve their skills.

Alexander Rudakov, the President of the holding, believes the professional educational projects in the agro-industrial sphere to be a logical response to the growing interest in the business environment towards the sector. He expressed his gratitude to Rosselkhozbank for its incredibly important initiative and emphasized that the “School” is able to give a new impetus to the development of agricultural business in the country. Upon completion of the course, businessmen and graduates of specialized universities will seriously deepen their knowledge and will be able to adopt the practical experience of the industry leaders.

The project was solemnly launched on September 1 at the Stavropol State Agrarian University. The ceremony was attended by the Governor V.V. Vladimirov, the Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Krai V.N. Sitnikov, the State Duma Deputy and the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture A.F. Lavrinenko, the Director of the Stavropol branch of Rosselkhozbank Z.D. Tikhomirova, the Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University I.V. Atanov, the President of the ECO-Culture company A.S. Rudakov, and other representatives of the agricultural industry in the region.

The studies at the “School of Farmers” are divided into 4 runs, with a duration of 3 months for each of them. Successful completion of the courses will be confirmed by the diplomas officially confirming the professional retraining of participants.

The program consists of theoretical and practical components. While lectures are to be given on the basis of the SSAU, the practical sessions will be conducted by specialists from the largest agricultural producers in the country. There will be both on-site and remote training format.
